Notification to CARICOM Member States relative to fraudulent online immigration forms

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Implementing Agency for Crime and Security (IMPACS) has received information that there has been a concerning rise in fraudulent online immigration forms, particularly targeting travelers to Dominica, St. Lucia and Barbados.

The websites have been identified as scams, preying on unsuspecting individuals who are attempting to comply with travel requirements. These websites mimic official government portals, luring victims with convincing layouts and promises of expediting the travel authorisation process. However, instead of providing legitimate services, they charge fees for fake forms that hold no value, ultimately leaving travelers vulnerable and out of pocket.

The Impact

The impact of these scams extends beyond financial loss. Victims often face significant stress and inconvenience, discovering only at the last minute that their documents are invalid. This can lead to travel delays, missed flights, and even legal complications upon arrival at their destination. CARICOM IMPACS is urging travelers to use only official government channels for their travel documentation needs. The rise of such scams underscores the importance of vigilance and thorough research when dealing with online services related to travel and immigration.
