CARICOM CYBER SECURITY AND CYBERCRIME ACTION PLAN (CCSCAP) GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE

Regional Cyber Committee (RCC)
National Cyber Points of Contact (NCPOC)

National Level – National Cyber Points of Contact (NCPOC)

  • Serve as members of the RCC.
  • Senior level officials from Law enforcement authority intelligence agency
    or military unit; Ministries responsible for ICT and Telecommunications;
    Parliamentary Sub‐Committee and Judiciary

 

Main focal points for the action plan with responsibility to:

  • Establishing and leading a national community of practitioners;
  • Gathering of relevant information so as to provide status updates on Cyber related projects and activities;
  • Collating information as it relates to incidents, experiences and lessons learnt;
  • Identifying national resources and expertise.

CAPACITY BUILDING FOR CARIFORUM MEMBER STATES ON CYBERCRIME 11TH EDF

To enhance detection and investigation of cybercrimes in CARIFORUM Countries, in compliance with international standards.  Training for RIFC and National Intelligence Points of Contacts on cybercrime information gathering and strategic analysis.

Policy Advancements

Technical Assistance to Member States for legislative and policy advancements

Awareness

Regional awareness raising sessions for senior officials, ministers, parliamentarians, policy makers and the public

Train

Training on cybercrime and cyber security for law enforcement and judiciary professionals

Support

Improve regional & international cooperation for enhanced incident response, cybercrime investigation and IMPACS capacity building

Digital Forensic Evidence and Case Management Platform

Improve the technological and human resource capacity of CARICOM IMPACS/RIFC to gather intelligence to assist in the prevention, detection and prosecution of cybercrimes and cyber-related crimes from a regional perspective.

Improve the capacity of National Intelligence and/or Cyber Points of Contacts in Member States, for information gathering and exchange in relation to cybercrime.

IMPACS/RIFC Staff and National Cyber/Intelligence Points of Contacts will be trained in Cyber Intelligence, Digital Forensic Evidence Management, Case Management and how to access and use the DFMP.
