Alejandro Restrepo holds a Civil Law Degree from Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá, Colombia, 2005) with legal studies from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in Madrid (Madrid, Spain 2003).
He also holds an LL.M. in Air and Space Law from McGill University (Montreal, Canada, 2009). With more than 10 years of experience, Mr. Restrepo has practiced law for prestigious law firms in Colombia and acted as Legal Director for the Colombian Air Transport Association in Bogotá. Currently, Mr. Restrepo holds the position of Security and Facilitation Manager for the Americas. Under this position, Mr. Restrepo is responsible for driving industry policies and procedures to combat acts of unlawful interference against civil aviation, to protect airline customers, personnel and property, and to support the implementation of global best practices on facilitation processes.
