Administrative Manager, JRCC

Mrs. Alicia Watson is Barbadian with over 28 years in the Administrative field. She previously worked with the Barbados Government departments in Industry & International Business and Economic Affairs for 17 years before embarking on a career with the CARICOM Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (IMPACS) in 2007 during preparations for Cricket World Cup 2007.

Mrs. Watson is assigned to the Joint Regional Communications Centre (JRCC) as the Manager, Administration where she has daily responsibilities for the Supervision of the Administrative staff of the Agency, the Administration and Management of the Agency’s Group & Health Plan, the facilities management of the JRCC and more recently the maintenance and updating of the Agency’s website. Mrs. Watson is also responsible for the preparation of Administrative Department’s work programme and annual budget while conforming with the Region’s Crime and Security Agenda and Financial Regulations.

In her capacity as Manager, Administration, Mrs. Watson was very instrumental in the physical establishment of the JRCC and contributed to the development and implementation of several policies and processes of the centre, while adhering to the mandate of the JRCC and the Region’s Crime and Security Agenda. Mrs. Watson can be distinguished by her passion for business, her focus on collaborative team-building, and her commitment to service excellence in the Region. Her enthusiasm instills her with extraordinary energy and dedication in an environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged;  she does not just set out ambitious goals, she motivates herself and others to deliver.

Throughout her 11-year tenure with CARICOM IMPACS and the JRCC, Mrs. Watson has built a reputation for her professionalism, efficiency, attention to detail and dedication to any delegation visiting or conducting business with CARICOM IMPACS and the JRCC nationally, regionally and internationally; and provides support to projects and conferences as requested.

Mrs. Watson has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Leicester, England, she is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), an Adobe Dreamweaver Developer and was recently inducted to the Chartered Management Institute as an Accredited Management Professional where she gained a Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership. She also holds an Executive Diploma in Administration and Management from the Durham University, London.

Mrs. Watson is married and has one son.
